Feeling Festive!!

I have been wanting an old red wagon to put in my flower bed.  My mom recently found this one for me at an antique store and gave it to me for my birthday!  I put the flowers in it and I can’t wait for them to fill in!

I also grouped a few pots that I had to make a festive arrangement for the weekend!  The blue and white pots were like they are now but I spray painted the red pot since it was lime green before.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th!!!!

Checking on my goals

How is it already October?  They always say that time goes faster when you get older and apparently it is very true!  I wanted to look back at the goals I made for 2008 and see what I need to work on at accomplishing them before 2009 gets here.

Things I want to work on in 2008

  • Get organized.  Will I ever be organized?  Still need to work on this one.
  • Get pregnant.  Been there, done that.  After two surgeries and one shot later I”m finally back to normal.  I never thought I would want to not be pregnant so bad.  Will try again later after the three month wait of the methotrexate shot.
  • Finish all projects I start.  ha ha that is funny.
  • Finish projects that are already started.  ha ha that is even more funny.
  • Bust my fabric stash.  Well I haven’t made anything really BUT I haven’t bought any new fabric either so I think I’m doing ok on this one.
  • Cook more meals.  I have been and I actually do enjoy cooking.
  • Be on time.  I think I’m getting better on this.
  • Be happy!  Most definitely!  I’m so thankful for my family, friends and great health insurance!!!

Hopefully by December this list will look a smidge better.

Things just don’t go out the way you planned.

Yesterday was an extremely hard day. But by the end of the day it started getting a little better. Today I woke up determined to have a good day. Low and behold it worked.

Here is me at work, see how happy I am?
Happy
I have realized life doesn’t always go the way we would like it to. Things happen for a reason. I need to just pick myself up and move along. Easier said than done. But I’m trying to remind myself tomorrow is a new day and I can determine how it will go.

So I’m gonna put on my big girl panties and deal with it.

Stressed?

Stressed!

Things are not going good right now. I got a speeding ticket on my way to work.

I’m depressed about other things not working out in life.

I’ll be back when I have something positive to say. Trust me you will be thankful I’m stopping this post right here.

Edited to add:   I just got a raise at work!  The day is looking up!

Another year…another sign im getting older.

Four eyes.

Recently I have been having problems focusing on things far away. Went to the optometrist and sure enough…I’m old.

So it’s 2008 now.

How on earth has it been 8 years since 2000 got here? Was anyone else expecting things to just quit working when the new year rolled over in 2000? I was a sophomore in high school that year and I was a little bummed when the lights stayed on lol. I was waiting for something exciting to happen.

Ok so a new year. A new me.

Things I want to work on in 2008

  • Get organized.
  • Get pregnant.
  • Finish all projects I start.
  • Finish projects that are already started.
  • Bust my fabric stash.
  • Cook more meals.
  • Be on time.
  • Be happy!

I think my list is very achievable, in that I am glad. I want 2009 to roll in with me overflowing with a feeling of accomplishment.

O and I also have one more “resolution.”

To post more on my blog.

So look out girls! Your going to get sick of me!

O Married Life!

A man and a woman who had never met before, but were both married to other people, found them assigned to the same sleeping room on a transcontinental train.

Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room, they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly….him in the upper bunk and her in the lower.

At 1:00 AM, the man leaned over and gently woke the woman saying, “Ma’am, I’m sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I’m awfully cold.”

“I have a better idea,” she replied. “Just for tonight, let’s just pretend that we’re married.”

“Wow! That’s a great idea!” he exclaimed!

“Good,” she replied… “Get your own damn blanket.”

After a stunned moment of silence, he farted.
