I’m on the right there. lol I look like a sad little puppy dog. That or like I just had my wisdom teeth removed. I’m actually glad it is raining we needed it badly. I just would rather be at home curled up in a blanket on the couch rather than here at work. But I guess I will suck it up and do something productive.
For my anniversary that is coming quickly I would really like an embroidery machine but is it worth the money. What are you thoughts on them? Do you use yours enough to make up for the price? There are so many different ones out there what brand or machine do you recommend?
It is that time of year again for school to be starting. They always say that after you are out of school you will always want to go back. But that is not the case when you are in school, you don’t want to be there.
I graduated from high school back in 2002 and decided then that I was so sick of school that college wasn’t for me. Lately that is not the case, I have been wanting to go to college and become something exciting. Maybe an interior designer, teacher, nurse, fabric designer…..etc. The list could go on I’m sure.
What is stopping me from going to college. Fear of failure, I think that I am too stupid to pass the classes. I’m a very shy person and I do not like the thought of going to a school where I would feel out of place and stupid. But it is a thought I will just kick around in my head for a few more years until I decide what to do.
On a much lighter note. This purse reminds me of a school girl. Maybe it is the colors or maybe it is the print. Either way I think it turned out pretty cute. I am sending it out for a swap-bot swap I was in. It is extremely late and I hope she likes it.
This was my first time to try this style. I should have made myself a pattern so I could get the same size again.
The white fabric with blue flowers came from the thrift shop. I think it is vintage and I love it!
We took a trip with another couple to Branson, Mo. We live about 5 hours from there. We had alot of fun and we were ready to come home on the last day of our trip and then our ac in my car locked up. Yeah that is right we had to drive home 5 hours in a hot car with temps reaching 109 degrees!
It is the disappearing nine patch. This quilt went really quick. I worked on it a total of three nights after I got off work. I was going to do the back in Chez Moi by Moda but I thought that the front was busy enough so I decided to do the back in plain blue. I finished it off with a cute little quilting pattern that I think looks good with the fabric. You can’t really see the quilting on the front that much but that is a good thing it hides the mistakes better. 🙂
Here is the back with the quilting.
Tonight I will do the binding and I can’t decide if I want to list the quilt in my etsy shop or keep it. It is really the perfect size for a baby girl. Up next…….something with warm fall colors.
